Scriptural Integrity
Our value and emphasis on scripture resides in its place in our community as the Story of God’s involvement with Humanity, inspired and infallible. It is also our desire to handle this record with utmost integrity: handling properly the exegetical and applicational truths found within the books. It serves as the foundation for our understanding of both God and the chief goal of Humanity. Because of this, it has a prominent place in our meetings, our lives and our story.
How does this look?
One of the characteristic trademarks of our gathering is the primary role that scripture takes in the actual meeting.
We spend at least half of our time in the gathering discussing and struggling through the implications of both the Old Testament and the New Testament, and how the entire context of these stories come together to inform the overall praxis within the construct of our daily lives.
