Worldly Christians

We had a truly nice evening tonight at our gathering.  We started off with a little chit-chat, went on to worship and then a rousing discussion with our roudy group.  Tonight we continued our talks about Heaven, and the earth, and our responsibility towards creation.

We talked a little bit about our differing opinions towards the green movement and conservation.  Everyone had something interesting and challenging to say.  It was awesome.  We also had some spirited visitors that took part in the discussion and added an exciting dynamic to the talk.  We concluded our evening by agreeing that we all could be more worldly Christians, meaning that we should care for physical things like the earth and our bodies at least as much as we care about spiritual things.  After all, as Rob Bell says, “Everything is Spiritual.”

Afterwards we prayed together and shared communion.  Then we ended in worship.  Of course there was after-chatter and some hanging out.  All-in-all we had a great time.  We long for a facility that will accommodate all of us and then some comfortably however, as we were a little cramped in my living room tonight.
